"I joined the Knights of Columbus in 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland when I was studying for my masters in systematic theology at St. Mary’s Seminary & University. I was the chaplain for Bishop Sebastian Council # 5058. I enjoy the activities which are carried out by the Knights of Columbus like praying the rosary, meetings, fundraising venture during Lenten season and various activities/projects carried out in serving the people of God. Further, I appreciate the involvement of the spouse/family members in some programs. The family involvement is cardinal because of the support and encouragements to move on as members of the order and to remain focused as we serve the Lord. I hope the order will continue to recruit new members and to encourage old members to be actively involved in various activities of the order."

The triad emblem of the Fourth Degree features the dove, the cross and the globe. The dove, classic symbol of the Holy Spirit and peace, is shown hovering over the orb of the Earth (globe). Both are mounted on a variation of the Crusader's cross, which was found on the tunics and capes of the Crusading knights who battled to regain the Holy Land from the pagans.
Spiritually, the sacred symbols on the emblem typify the union of the Three Divine Persons in one Godhead, the most Blessed Trinity.
The colors of the symbols are:
Red, white and blue are the colors of the flag of the country in which the Knights originated. They are used to stress patriotism, the basic principle of the Fourth Degree.
The purpose of the Honor Guard is to bring honor and respect to the order by precision in the mass and other special events. The Honor Guard is an optional way a 4th Degree member can participate in the patriotic order.
The Color Guard will present and retrieve colors at special events. The Color Guard is a sub-section of the Honor Guard
Members must be willing to obtain a 4th Degree Uniform to participate in the Honor Guard or Color Guard. If you're interested, please contact your Color Corp Commander or Faithful Navigator. Learn more about who the 4th Degree Knights are at this LINK.
NEW DISTRICT MASTER WILL ANNOUNCE HIS POLICY
The 4th Degree is the visible arm of the Knights of Columbus. It is the 4th Degree Honor Guard and Color Guard that provides
the Honors at Mass and special events. Through synchronized movements, sword drill, and the official dress of the Honor
Guard, the 4th Degree Honor Guard adds honor to mass and special events. The Honor Guard / Color Guard can
be requested to post Colors at special events, serve Honor Guard at special masses such as feast days, weddings,
and provide honors at funerals. These events are referred to as "Call outs." If one would like to request a
call out, contact the local Faithful Navigator/Color Commander of the closest Assembly.
Sir Knights, it is our responsibility to protect the branding of the Knights of Columbus. If anything arises that may cause damage to the brand or image of the Knights, bring issues to the District Master's attention. All issues will be investigated, reviewed and addressed.
